Ultramarine: Ship Details and Overview
Scheduled to set sail in the 2021 season, the Ultramarine boasts the latest technology and modern cabin design. Made for the toughest of Polar environments, the Ultramarine has a 1A+ ice class and has been specifically designed for expedition adventure travel.
The ultramarine is the only Polar ship to have two twin-engine helicopters onboard as standard which gives every passenger the chance to take a scenic flight over landscapes that very few people ever get to witness.
Because the Ultramarine carries 199 passengers, the ship has been equipped with 4 zodiac embarkation points which means that everyone aboard can get quickly and safely to shore without the need for queuing.
The public facilities such as the sauna, spa and gym all have floor to ceiling windows which gives the Ultramarine an incredibly spacious feel.
The ship also utilises a Micro Auto Gasification System (MAGS) which converts the vessels waste into energy. This innovative sustainability concept makes the Ultramarine far more eco-friendly than many of the older Polar ships.
The Ultramarine also boats the largest entry-level suites of its class and 60% of the cabins come with balconies.
Kayaking and camping come as standard, and there is also the option to try paddle boarding.
