Built in 2010, the French ship Le Boreal is one of the newest ships in Antarctica and the sister ship to both L’Austral and Le Soléal. Carrying up to 199 passengers, the Le Boreal is a purpose built cruise vessel that combines luxury with a innovative marine technology.

The Le Boreal is fitted with the latest navigational equipment and comes fully stabilized for people who suffer from sea sickness. The luxurious interior is incredibly spacious and well thought out and the ship comes with three elevators for ease of passenger movement.

With luxury in mind, the facilities on board the Le Boreal are second to none with exceptional quality fittings and furnishings and excellent space throughout the ship. Facilities include two restaurants, a lovely 3,000-square-foot Le Club lounge (where nightly entertainment and dance floor), panoramic lounge, full-service salon, steam room, spa, fitness center, state of the art lecture theater, library with a large selection of books and three elevators for easy passenger accessibility.

Cabin Facilities

Like the public areas, the cabins on the Le Boreal are luxurious and very spacious.

The Le Boreal can accommodate 199 people on board and every cabin comes with a private balcony for perfect viewing! Cabin amenities include flat-screen TV, iPod station, mini bar, electronic safe, temperature control, wireless Internet access, direct-dial telephone.

Each en suite comes with a bath lined with marble and teak and good sized shower. Bathrooms also provide a hair dryer, bathrobes and French toiletries.

Twenty-four-hour room service is available throughout the cruise.
